Filippo Puglisi-Alibrandi, a partner at KPMG, told members, “Please be advised that Tires is no longer eligible for consideration for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy as it does not meet the 150-minute requirement. It’s a blow for Gillis and his co-creators Steve Gerben and John McKeever, who were hoping that it could nab a nomination for the event, which is held on Sunday January 5. In the first season, Will (Gerben), the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father’s business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).
