Last year, Spanish TV show Socialite claimed that the Hips Don’t Lie singer found out Gerard was engaging in extra marital activities after opening her fridge and discovering that her favorite strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away — despite her ex and their sons apparently not liking the fruit preserve! Elsewhere in the interview, Shakira noted how she had to put her music career “ on hold ” for Gerard throughout their 11-year relationship to accommodate his soccer stardom, as well as their sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7. But now that she’s single, she’s been gearing up to make her return with the release of her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran later this month.
