Shailene Woodley Will Sing as Janis Joplin in Musical Biopic

Shailene Woodley confirmed she will be singing as Janis Joplin in the musical biopic that has been seven years in the making.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Woodley detailed how the project has been in the works for almost a decade. Linda Perry is also serving as the music producer on the film and taught Woodley how to unlock her singing voice to portray Joplin. The “ Big Little Lies ” alum further teased that Season 3 of the HBO series is still in the works and has been “for a while,” with Nicole Kidman leading the charge.
