Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan will direct his first Netflix series exploring an outsider's journey in Bollywood.
“Set against the backdrop of the film industry, this multi-genre project promises an audacious, unabashed, entertaining ride through the adventures of a charming, ambitious outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood,” according to a description provided by Netflix. Monika Shergill, VP, content, Netflix India, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Red Chillies Entertainment once again — this time, for a very special series, directed by Aryan Khan. Bela Bajaria ’s, Netflix chief content officer, said at the event that even in a country like the U.S., where audiences have traditionally preferred local American stories, the appetite for non-English language programming is growing.
