Seville Film Festival Director Manuel Cristobal Wants the Spanish Event to Be a Springboard for European Oscar Hopefuls
Seville director Manuel Cristobal on this year's new initiatives and why being one of the last major fests of the year can be a huge advantage.
The 21st Sevilla European Film Festival (SEFF) will take place this Nov. 8-16 under the stewardship of renowned Spanish producer and leading industry figure Manuel Cristobal. The program, kicked off at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival earlier this year, accompanies 10 up-and-coming filmmakers through a tailor-made promotion and networking curriculum. This year’s festival will also host the first edition of Frame Sevilla, an event curated to bring together professionals from the film industry to share experiences, concerns and knowledge through a series of roundtables, workshops, talks and conferences focused on production, management, training and distribution.
