It comes three years after NBC struck a deal with the former SNL star and head writer to renew the show through 2025. It means that there will be stability across late-night on NBC until at least 2026 after Jimmy Fallon extended his contract to host The Tonight Show in 2021. As part of the agreement, Meyers’ production company Sethmaker Shoemeyers, which he runs with Late Night showrunner Mike Shoemaker, will produce content across NBCUniversal platforms after extending its deal with the studio.
