Seth Meyers Extends 'Late Night' Contract, Will Continue Hosting at NBC Until 2028

“Over the last 10 years, Seth has resonated with his audience night after night with a sharp monologue and established segments such as A Closer Look and Day Drinking,” Katie Hockmeyer, executive vp late night programming at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in a statement. His name has often been linked as a possible successor to SNL ‘s Lorne Michaels, should he decide to retire and pass on the reigns for that gig. With Seth ‘s new long-term deal with NBC, it looks like he’s committed to staying at his hosting gig for several more years!
