The same thread was partaken in by Elon Gates (yep, that’s his display name), who went in the direction of saying that medical research had been a scam for 50 years, and so-called bad comparison of U.S. life expectancy with Western countries was basically thrown into that pot. The political jabs were there too: Claims that Ossoff stole his Senate position are from American Brushfire, and PaulRobeson pointed the finger to George W. Bush’s stem-cell research policies to prove that politicians don’t actually care about science. Ossoff’s tweet was clearly designed to make opposing funding for cancer research seem idiotic, but the responses show just how deep the fractures in public trust run.
