Selena Gomez will officially star as music legend Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic.
Gomez, 31 - who is taking a social media break after being caught gossiping about T imothée Chalamet, 28, and Kylie Jenner, 26 - at the Golden Globes, posted a snap of Ronstadt’s 2013 memoir Simple Dreams earlier this week - with Rolling Stone confirming the new film. The new film role comes after Selena took to Instagram Stories Tuesday evening, saying it was time for a social media break amid brewing drama over her Golden Globes gossip session with Taylor Swift, 34. Taylor was pipped at the post to the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award - a new category for the 2024 Globes - as her The Eras tour movie lost to Barbie and was seen being consoled by BFF Selena before the drama began.
