The Surgeon General was originally appointed by Barack Obama, then briefly served under Donald Trump and was reinstated by Joe Biden. Held virtually on World Mental Health Day, the 2020 meeting allowed Selena to discuss the impact of chronic loneliness with Vivek, who was not in office then. Benny is himself a high-flyer in the music industry, as a record producer and songwriter who has worked with a variety of artists including Halsey, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Charlie Puth and Kanye West.
