According to the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place description, the upcoming series follows “an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. In a new trailer released on Tuesday (Sept. 24), Gomez and Henrie reprise their roles as Alex and Justin, respectively, as they navigate teaching a rebellious Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) the ropes on being a wizard. “You’re a powerful wizard, and some people see that as a threat, but I promise I’m not going to let anything happen to you,” Justin assures Billie on her magical journey.
