The Weeknd kicked off the Hurry Up Tomorrow era Saturday night in São Paulo, Brazil, where Abel Tesfaye staged a special livestreamed concert that included the live debut of a handful of new album tracks. The one-night-only gig at Estádio MorumBI also featured guest appearances by rapper Playboi Carti and Brazilian singer Anitta, who joined the Weeknd on a new song fittingly titled “São Paulo.” Teasers for Hurry Up Tomorrow — the third album in a trilogy that includes 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM — first arrived in July, when the Weeknd released a trailer previewing two unreleased songs.
