Sean Penn Says It Took 'Quite a While' to 'Repair' His Friendship with Robin Wright After Their Divorce

Sean Penn briefly opened up about the journey he and Robin Wright took from estranged divorcees to friends again in the years since their 2010 divorce. “It turns out it’s a lot quicker to repair a friendship after divorce if there are not kids involved,” he told The New York Times. “It took Robin and I quite a while."

Penn most recently appeared on the big screen with Dakota Johnson in Daddio, as well as in the 2023 movies Gonzo Girl and Asphalt City. He is next set to costar with Leonardo DiCaprio and Regina Hall in a still-untitled movie from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
