Sean Combs Demands Names of Alleged Victims in Criminal Case

Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs say prosecutors are “unfairly” withholding names of the alleged victims in his racketeering and sex trafficking case

Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs say prosecutors are “unfairly” withholding the names of the alleged victims in his racketeering and sex trafficking case now underway in federal court in Manhattan. In a letter to the court filed late Tuesday, his lawyers say federal prosecutors should be forced to cough up the identities immediately so Combs can get to work on his defense ahead of his criminal trial now scheduled to begin May 5. Speaking to Rolling Stone last month, Elizabeth Geddes, a former federal prosecutor in Brooklyn who delivered the closing arguments in the government’s successful prosecution of R. Kelly, says it was “a little surprising” the Combs indictment didn’t “more specifically describe other victims.” She says one of the reasons SDNY prosecutors likely chose to proceed with a slimmed down, so-called “Glecier-format” RICO conspiracy — named after a famous case, United States v. Glecier — was because it specifically offered the benefit of affording more protection to witnesses.
