Sean Bean to Play Sheriff of Nottingham in ‘Robin Hood’ Series at MGM+
Sean Bean has joined the upcoming "Robin Hood" series at MGM+, Variety has learned.
Bean will star alongside previously announced series lead Jack Patten, who will play the titular outlaw folk hero. Bean is best known for his roles in films like “The Lord of the Rings,” “Troy,” “Goldeneye,” and “Ronin.” He also famously starred in the first season of “Game of Thrones” as Ned Stark and has also been in shows such as “Accused,” “Broken,” “Henry VIII,” and “Legends.” As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, as both work together to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land.”
