The pro golfer was attempting to enter the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, at around 6 a.m. when police claimed he illegally bypassed the scene of an accident where a pedestrian was struck and killed. Miraculously, Scottie made his 10:08 a.m. tee time despite being charged with multiple counts, including second-degree assault of a police officer and reckless driving. Scottie later called the incident a “big misunderstanding.” On May 29, all charges against the professional golfer were dropped, per ESPN, after prosecutors decided to not move forward with the case.
