Scott Mills is forced to stand in for Vernon Kay on his Radio 2 show as he gets STUCK on the train - just minutes after filling in for Zoe Ball

Scott Mills was forced to endure a marathon presenting slot on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday morning, as Vernon Kay ended up being late to present his show due to train delays.

Having already stood in for Zoe Ball on his breakfast show, Scott remained on air for another 80 minutes after receiving a voice note from Vernon, who confirmed that he was still 'stuck on the platform' waiting for his train to arrive. In recent weeks, Scott has been standing in for Zoe Ball on his Breakfast Show, with the longtime presenter's absence sparking concern from fans. However, BBC Radio 2 presenter Scott and Sam, plus Ted Lasso's Kola Bokinni and cousin Mary-Ellen quickly caught up with the couple in exciting scenes.
