Five-time Emmy winner Jeff Beal received the Jury Award for his score for the 1920 silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, which he premiered and was performed live-to-picture at Carnegie Hall in June. “As we celebrate the dedication and creativity of our fellow composers and lyricists, we also reflect on the larger context of hardship and loss that surrounds us,” SCL President Ashley Irwin said in a statement.
