Scandinavian Streamer Viaplay Launches on Amazon’s Prime Video Channels in Germany – Mipcom Bulletin
German Prime Video customers will have access to Viaplays' Nordic series and films via Prime Video Channels
Viaplay’s German offering includes high-quality and impactful Nordic series and films, including award-winning Nordic noir dramas such as “End of Summer,” “Face to Face,” “The Bridge,” “Gåsmamman,” “Furia,” “Trom,” “Stockholm Requiem,” “The Sandhamn Murders,” “Unit One,” “The Team,” “Wallander,” and “Darkness: Those Who Kill.” The platform will also host three films from the Millennium/The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo franchise. Global sports, events, and representation company IMG has renewed and expanded an existing 20-plus-year partnership with the Netherlands’s top soccer league, Eredivisie. The “Mother” format was previously licensed to CJ E&M (South Korea), MF Yapim (Turkey), STB TV (Ukraine), Juvenile (Thailand), Radiant Pictures (China), Incognita (France), Atresmedia (Spain), Medyapim for MBC (Saudi Arabia), Green Show Productions (Mongolia), and ABS-CBN (Philippines).
