Saweetie and YG call off their relationship after seven months of dating... but the rappers are staying on good terms
Saweetie, 30, and her rapper boyfriend YG, 33, decided they were 'better off as friends,' a source close to the situation told the Shade Room.
Fans began to speculate that they Saweetie (real name: Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper) and YG (born Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson) were an item after they were spotted getting close at Coachella in April 2023. Several commenters on the Shade Room post noted that they didn't even realize the rappers had been dating, though their time together was relatively brief and the canceled tour cut down on a chance for them to highlight their working relationship. Saweetie broke out in 2017 with her debut EP High Maintenance, She's best known for her singles Tap In, Best Friend (with Doja Cat) and My Type, all of which charted on the Billboard Top 40.
