Savannah Guthrie returned to Today after she was missing from the show during Craig Melvin's first week as her coanchor, revealing what happened to her.
Savannah said that she got sick after appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, January 15, with Craig, and “then succumbed to the norovirus blazing through my house.” The cohosts also appeared in a joint interview for Parade where they gushed about working alongside each other after Hoda Kotb ’s emotional departure from the series. The two shared a memorable moment during their appearance on The Tonight Show, with Savannah saying she threw out Hoda’s stuff that she left behind after leaving Today.
