Savage Garden star Darren Hayes reveals shocking health scare after jaw-snapping fall saw him hospitalised: 'I could have died'


Former Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes has opened up about a terrifying health ordeal that left him hospitalised, with a shattered jaw and nine broken teeth.

The hitmaker, 52, shared a shocking post to social media on Friday night which showed the aftermath of a traumatic fall and the titanium brace now holding his jaw together. Savage Garden, comprising Darren and guitarist Daniel Jones, formed in 1993 and produced a slew of number one hits such as To the Moon and Back and Truly Madly Deeply. Speaking with Sarah Grynberg on her A Life of Greatness podcast ahead of the release of his memoir Unloveable, Darren said he has suffered a 'huge personal betrayal' as a result of the split.
