Sarah Snook Interview: ‘I’d have been just as happy if I hadn’t played Shiv Roy’
Succession gave the actress the role of a lifetime – now she’s following it up with a one-woman take on Dorian Gray
At that time, despite having appeared in a handful of films, she was a relative unknown: Succession – the acclaimed HBO comedy-drama, in which her dazzling performance across four series as Shiv, the scheming daughter of media mogul Logan Roy, has made her a familiar face around the world – had not even started production. This time round, Snook is returning to the West End in triumph – having just won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for the final season of Succession – to face a logistical challenge of a different order: Oscar Wilde’s tale reinvented as a one-woman show, by Kip Williams, the artistic director of Sydney Theatre Company.
