Sarah Silverman recalls how Conan O'Brien helped save her career after SNL firing: 'The best thing for me'

Sarah Silverman is reflecting on how Conan O'Brien helped her save her comedy career after being fired from 'Saturday Night Live' in 1994: 'The best thing for me.'

"Conan was the best thing for me," Silverman said while she discussed being fired from Saturday Night Live in an interview with SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show. The Wreck-It Ralph star explained how O'Brien's frequent invitations to appear on Late Night helped her stay afloat when her time at Studio 8H didn't pan out as she'd hoped. Elsewhere in the interview, the comedian explained her conflicted feelings about SNL, where she worked for the 1993-1994 season as a writer.
