Sarah Michelle Gellar Says She Won’t Reprise ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Role In Sequel Film: “I Am Dead”

Sarah Michelle Gellar is making it clear she won't return to the I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel film because her character is dead.

However, Gellar’s husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., will reprise his role, and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum said she will be part of the film in an “unofficial” capacity. The previously announced cast includes Chase Sui Wonders, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Haur-King. I Know What You Did Last Summer was released in 1997 and starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Johnny Galecki, and Bridgette Wilson.
