Sarah Michelle Gellar Says Children Of OG ‘Buffy’ Stars Auditioned For Reboot
After casting Ryan Kiera Armstrong in the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' reboot, Sarah Michelle Gellar recently spoke about the audition process.
Deadline exclusively revealed this week that Armstrong will play the new Slayer in the untitled Buffyverse project, which Gellar executive produces in addition to reprising her titular role as Buffy Summers. Anthony Stewart Head, Charisma Carpenter, Nicholas Brendan, Alyson Hannigan and Sarah Michelle Gellar in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ (1997-2003) (20th Century Fox Film Corp.) Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who also wrote the 1992 movie the series was based on, has no involvement in the reboot.
