Sarah Michelle Gellar Has Come Around To The Idea Of A ‘Buffy’ Offshoot

More than 20 years later, Sarah Michelle Gellar is considering a return to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'.

Based on Joss Whedon ‘s 1992 movie of the same name, which Barrymore revealed she auditioned for, Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons on The WB from 1997 to 2003. It followed the titular Valley girl as she relocates to Sunnydale High School, which sits on top of a Hellmouth, providing plenty of supernatural evil for her to slay.
