Sarah Jessica Parker says she panicked when Sex and the City was picked up by HBO: 'I didn't want to do a TV show!'

Sarah Jessica Parker reveals why she was reluctant to play Carrie Bradshaw beyond the pilot of 'Sex and the City,' despite having previously worked on other TV shows.

"I panicked," she told Davis about learning that the cable network wanted to move forward with the series. Sarah Jessica Parker was no stranger to TV, having starred in the early '80s show 'Square Pegs' with Amy Linker.
