Sarah Jessica Parker , who plays the beloved New Yorker, has teased John Corbett , who plays Aidan, will have a 'significant' role in the third season - despite their characters' hiatus.
After sending an email entitled 'hey stranger', she revealed during a lunch with Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) that the now-divorced Aidan – who was living in Virginia – would be in New York City for a meeting and had asked her for dinner on Valentine's Day. He broke the devastating news as Carrie sold her beloved West Village apartment to purchase a pricey four-bedroom, three-bathroom property near Gramercy Park that could fit Aidan and his three sons when they visit from Virginia. In a statement, Max's Head of Original Content Sarah Aubrey, said at the time: 'As we approach the highly anticipated season finale... we raise our cosmos to [showrunner] Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories.'
