Sarah, Duchess of York has urged people not to skip health checks as she marked Cancer Prevention Action Week after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer

Sarah, Duchess of York, is urging everyone not to skip their health checks for cancer, saying "days could make the difference between life and death". She revealed that her recent diagnosis of malignant melanoma came as a shock, but she was grateful for the support from her family, especially her sister who encouraged her not to delay her routine mammogram. The Duchess recounted in January how she triumphed over breast cancer, saying 2023 "hadn't been without its ups and downs, trials, lessons, laughter, miracles and joy".
