Samuel Goldwyn Films Acquires WWII Drama ‘The Last Rifleman’ Starring Pierce Brosnan

Pierce Brosnan's 'The Last Rifleman' has locked in Samuel Goldwyn Films as its North American distributor for a November release.

Other titles set for that frame include Focus Features’ awards prospect Conclave from Edward Berger, Lionsgate’s family comedy The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Vertical’s sci-fi thriller Elevation starring Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin, and Sony/Crunchyroll’s Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom. Inspired by a true story, The Last Rifleman centers on Brosnan’s Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran living in a care home in Northern Ireland who has just lost his wife. Pic’s ensemble also features Clémence Poésy ( The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon), John Amos ( Me Time), Ian McElhinney ( The Boys in the Boat) and Desmond Eastwood ( Normal People).
