Samsung Launches “Broad-FAST” TV Network As Home For Its Growing Roster Of Big-Tent Programming

Samsung, which is already leading the field in total FAST channels, introduced a new "broad-FAST" network to anchor the strategy.

Samsung Television Network, unveiled Tuesday at Samsung Ads’ NewFronts presentation in New York, is billed as “the broad-FAST channel of the future.” The network will be the exclusive home of the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming tour and will also feature live sports offerings and library fare including David Letterman and Conan O’Brien late-night episodes and library standouts like Killing Eve. Like connected-TV peers Vizio and Roku, Samsung, the top maker of smart TVs, is enhancing its offerings of originals and exclusive programming and also trying to serve as a one-stop-shop in a cluttered streaming world for both consumers and advertisers. This new network will feature red carpet and inside access to more than 25 events year-round, including the Golden Globes (also part of the PMC portfolio) and the MTV Awards.
