Samantha Armytage announces her departure from Channel Seven after 21 years: 'The time has come'

Farmer Wants A Wife host Samantha Armytage has announced she's quitting Channel 7 after 21 years with the network.

Armytage, 47, declined a new deal with Seven after her current contract expires in October, The Daily Telegraph reported on Sunday. It was also revealed that while Armytage would still appear at the upcoming Logies, with Farmer Wants A Wife nominated for Best Structured Reality Program, she will not return to host the show's next series, currently in pre-production. She replaced Mike Amor as the presenter of Seven 4.30 News before taking on co-hosting duties of Weekend Sunrise alongside Andrew O'Keefe, after the departure of Lisa Wilkinson to Nine.
