Sam Worthington opened up about the next 'Avatar' movie at Monday night's 'Lift' Netflix premiere, revealing that it starts shooting again in 1 month and is 'bigger' than ever

The actor, 47, was exclusively speaking to PEOPLE on Monday at the Lift Netflix premiere held at Lincoln Center in New York City. The Avatar franchise features Worthington playing the role of Jake Sully, while Zoe Saldaña portrays Neytiri. And in December, director James Cameron told PEOPLE that Avatar 3 “i s right on track ” after it was originally set to be released on Dec. 20, 2024, but was pushed back to Dec. 19, 2025.
