Sam Thompson teams up with Marvin Humes for new ITV role with viewers 'guaranteed to laugh and cry'
King of the I’m A Celebrity jungle Sam Thompson and DJ and presenter Marvin Humes are exploring their family origins and history in a new series of ITV's DNA Journey
The pair, who bonded in the jungle last year when they both appeared in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here – which Sam won – are set to explore their histories together on a journey that series executive producer Kathleen Larkin of Voltage TV described as “gripping.” The new series features five other celebrity pairings – including comedians Jo Brand and Julian Clary, and actors James Nesbitt and Sarah Parish, who starred together in Netflix’s Harlan Coben thriller Stay Close. The creators work closely with Ancestry on the series, and Brad Argent from the family history site said: “Solid research, world class science, and a little bit of good luck have uncovered a fantastic line-up of rich and varied stories – all made relatable by a celebrity cast that bring themselves to every moment.
