Sam Thompson 'in tears' over pressure of disappointing family amid 'so much anxiety'

Sam Thompson has spoken about his struggles with ADHD during his school years, admitting he was left in tears while revising, amid worries over disappointing his parents

At the launch event for Disney and Pixar's upcoming Inside Out 2, where Sam makes a cameo appearance, he spoke openly: "I was anxious about my grades all the time. The film Inside Out 2 introduces new emotions such as Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Anxiety, joining the original cast of Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Reflecting on his past, Sam shared a touching insight: "I didn't realise at the time, but now I look back, that guy clearly understood me and saw how much sport meant to me."
