Sam Rubin’s Son Colby Shares Touching Tribute To His Dad On KTLA Morning News
"I idolized you. You are and will always be my hero," said Colby Rubin in a tribute to his ada. "I never got to tell you that, and I'm so sorry, dad."
Colby joined the KTLA 5 Morning News with a four-minute tribute to his father spoken direct to camera. In it he remembers his father’s support for his aspiring theatrical ambitions, their trips to Disneyland, Boy Scout meetings together, even time shared on visits to his physical therapist. Colby also shared onscreen a text exchange with his father in which he told his dad he could not go through with a particular theatrical performance because someone had criticized him.
