SAG Awards 2024: SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher celebrates successful strike over 'hot labor summer' and says actors union is 'not going anywhere'


Fran Drescher looked and sounded triumphant when she addressed members of her SAG-AFTRA union at the 2024 SAG Awards on Saturday.

While paying tribute to the actors who led the way on picket lines outside the major studios, the Nanny star also looked ahead to possible future strikes by thanking IATSE, the Teamsters and 'basic crafts' at the start of her speech. The 66-year-old union president glowed in a red sequined dress on the stage at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles as she celebrated the conclusion of SAG-AFTRA's strike in early December of last year Fran was spotted on the red carpet catching up with nominee Carey Mulligan, who lost out to Killers Of The Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone, and Pedro Pascal, who won for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
