Sad truth behind Zoe Ball's decision to quit Radio 2 despite salary of nearly £1m

Zoe Ball has announced she is leaving her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show after six years - and now the real reason for her departure has been 'revealed'

She plans to leave next month to "focus on family", but also shared her excitement for Scott Mills, who will be taking over the early morning slot. Sources have revealed that Zoe Ball's decision to step down from her Radio 2 morning show is fuelled by a longing for more family time with her children, Woody, 23, and Nellie, 14, especially after the loss of her dear mother earlier this year. "She simply wants to live differently, which means having more of a family life," a source disclosed to Mail Online, echoing Zoe's own sentiments about being over the early starts after a six-year stint.
