Sabrina Carpenter Says Toora Loora to London With Lively Cover of ‘Come On Eileen’
Sabrina Carpenter performed a spirited cover of Dexys Midnight Runners' 1983 hit 'Come on Eileen' during her show at London's O2 Arena on Sunday.
The 25-year-old singer busted out a sprightly, bouncy cover of English new wave band Dexy Midnight Runners’ 1983 Billboard Hot 100 No. Complete with the original’s signature fiddle groove, Carpenter made the song her own, giving it her signature pop sheen as the enthusiastic crowd readily sang along to the beloved Birmingham-bred band’s iconic hit, down to the classic “toora, loora, toora, loo-rye-aye” refrain. “You’re kind of spicing up my life a little bit,” she told the fellow pop icon, who re-shared the clip on Instagram, writing “Please, please, please Arrest me for being a fan!!!
