Sabrina Carpenter Announces Surprise New Album: ‘I Tried Not to Overthink’

Sabrina Carpenter surprised fans with the announcement of a new album, 'Man’s Best Friend,' set to release on August 29

Carpenter went on to say that she listened to some of her favorite artists “growing up” while working on the record, including Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton and Donna Summer. Matthew Sprout for Variety Sabrina Carpenter claimed that she got some pushback about making “Espresso” the lead single from her upcoming album. Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour has been going strong since September 2024, and each night fans look forward to a surprise during “Juno.” For those unfamiliar with the track, the lyrics are about thinking your partner is so hot you want them to get you pregnant (like the titular character in 2007’s Juno).
