S.W.A.T.’s Midseason Premiere Plot Is Revealed After Replacing ‘Blue Bloods’ in CBS Lineup

The midseason premiere of S.W.A.T. will have quite a dramatic plot, as revealed by CBS. The show is replacing Blue Bloods in the Friday night CBS lineup.

Blue Bloods aired for 14 seasons on the network in the time slot, closing out its run with a dramatic series finale on December 13, 2024. “I don’t believe in holding grudges, but if you were to say to the television network, ‘Here’s a show you can program in the worst time slot you got, and it is going to guarantee you winning Friday night for the next 15 years,’ it would be almost impossible to believe,” he told TV Insider in an October 2024 interview.
