Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman Join the MCU in 'Deadpool 3' Trailer
The 'Deadpool 3' Super Bowl 2024 trailer teased the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as the film's titular antihero
Marvel StudiosIn a follow-up video that same month, the duo offered some explanation as to how Jackman’s X-Men character will return for the film, as Wolverine died at the end of 2017’s Logan. Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019 allows for characters like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to be incorporated into the MCU alongside heroes such as The Hulk, Captain Marvel, Thor and more. The end of 2023’s The Marvels also saw Monica Rambeau ( Teyonah Parris) get transported to Fox’s original X-Men film universe and featured a cameo from Kelsey Grammer as Beast.
