Speculation about a holiday special stem from a recent post by Ryan Reynolds on Instagram showing himself filming a secret project in a Deadpool suit. Given the photos also feature Leslie Uggams as Blind Al and Christmas decorations in the background, many believe that this is the first announcement of a holiday special starring the anti-hero. And given Ryan Reynolds is one of their biggest stars right now with the release of Deadpool and Wolverine, it makes sense they’d lean into the hype by putting out even more content with the Merc with a Mouth.
