Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Share the Screen in Official 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Trailer
The long-awaited team-up rips into theaters July 26.
In the official trailer, released on Monday, fans see Deadpool and Wolverine trade cheeky barbs before Wade recruits the down-on-his-luck Logan and encourages him to get back into fighting shape, culminating in an action montage set to Madonna's "Like a Prayer." "Look, eventually, you're going to hang up the claws and it's going to make a lot of people very sad," Deadpool intoned in the teaser, slyly referring to Jackman's previously announced decision to retire from playing the character after Loga n. "But one day, your old pal Wade’s gonna ask you to get back in the saddle again, and when he does, say yes." The two-and-a-half-minute trailer shows Deadpool/Wade Wilson and his signature meta-humor, calling out the jump from Fox to Disney in a fourth-wall-breaking moment as he is abducted by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) -- a Marvel organization first introduced in the Disney+ Loki series.
