Russell Crowe was fighting fit on Friday.
The actor did not appear in the sequel, Gladiator II, which stars Paul Mescal as Lucius Verus, the former heir to the Roman Empire and son of Maximus, who was played by Crowe in the original. Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience, Russell revealed what it was really like meeting the globally famous Daniel before making a comment about his wealth. Host Joe Rogan first described the Gangs of New York star as a 'weird dude' because he 'disappears [from the spotlight] for a couple of years and makes shoes'.
