Russell Brand Sued Over Sexual Abuse Allegations  In UK Court

The former comedian denies claims against him in the UK and US.

It is the first-known lawsuit to land in the UK since the comedian turned online broadcaster faced allegations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse, dating between 2006 and 2013, by four separate women in a joint Sunday Times/Channel 4 Dispatches investigation. When the results of the investigation were published, Brand denied all claims against him, saying that he had never participated in non-consensual sexual behaviour, and the allegations were part of an establishment smear campaign against him. Brand recently moved from the UK to the US, where he faces separate civil sexual assault claims, specifically that he exposed himself to a woman during the filming of the comedy Arthur in 2010.
