Russell Brand Sparks Debate After Comparing Parenting Struggles To Billionaire Flaws

He describes this moment of self-reflection in his book, remarking that while he may have found himself struggling with tiny acts of kindness, politicians such as Bill Gates, George Soros, and Nancy Pelosi might equally have been imperfect humans. Tech criticism follows soon after, one sneering: “If it’s anything like Windows operating systems, he’s not doing a good job!” The more serious objections were to using wealth accusations against Gates and Soros; one citing Microsoft for alleged malfeasance of “Israeli bullshit” and Pelosi for “corrupt” stock trading. Some defended Brand’s thought, one admitting to also struggling with hypocrite tendencies: “wanting to remove the speck from others’ eyes while ignoring the log in our own.” Most, however, ranged from skeptical to outright antagonistic towards the billionaire class.
