Rush Reflect on Farewell Tour: ‘We Let Our British and European Fans Down’
Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson reflected on Rush's 2015 farewell tour in a new interview, apologizing for cutting it short for European fans.
In a new interview with Classic Rock, bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson discussed the band’s conclusive world tour, which coincided with drummer Neil Peart ‘s failing health. Lee added that he felt he described Peart’s eventual death in his 2023 memoir, My Effin’ Life, because “I owed an explanation to them, the audience.” Lifeson added, “Ged and I were disappointed that Neil demanded playing only a limited number of dates which precluded a UK and European run.
