Rumer Willis, Gbenga Akkinagbe & More To Star In Indie Western ‘Broken Trail’
Rumer Willis and Gbenga Akkinagbe are in production on 'Broken Trail,' an indie Western drama from filmmaker Johnny Remo and his Skipstone Pictures.
Written by Remo and longtime collaborator Daniel Backman, the film set in 1875 watches as the life of Katherine (Willis) is shattered when her beloved husband falls victim to a murder orchestrated by the nefarious Colonel Davis (Fahey). Akinnagbe is coming off of roles in Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Rob Peace, Phillip Noyce’s Fast Charlie, Power Book II: Ghost, and the latest season of Nat Geo’s Genius. Through SkipStone Pictures, Remo has produced films including Hellfire with Harvey Keitel and Stephen Lang, The Tower with Bella Thorne and Jack Kilmer, The Chariot with John Malkovich, Rosa Salazar and Thomas Mann, Monstrous starring Christina Ricci, The Old Way starring Nicolas Cage, and God’s Country Song with Justin Gaston and Mariel Hemingway, among others.
